Sports Opportunities at Edendale (updated 19/4/16)
Our students have numerous opportunities to participate in physical activity, sporting events, teams and clubs.
Swimming [UNDER REVIEW IN 2020 due to Government Donations Scheme]
Edendale participates in the Swimsation Schools Programme (Te Atatu Swimsation). Qualified and experienced swimming instructors offer swimming tuition (nine-ten lessons) for all year groups in our school pools during February to April. Lessons are free for students in Years Three - Six and cost $40.00 for students in Years One and Two.

Eden-Albert Team Competitions
Throughout the year trials are held for Years Five-Six students to participate in the following :
Swimming Cricket Touch Netball Football Softball Rugby (Boys: Tackle Rugby, Girls: Rippa Rugby) Athletics (for Years 4-6 students)
Netball (Trials are undertaken in Term One)

Saturday Netball Competitions for Y4-6 students (managed by parents) Contact Mark at for more information.

AMI Windmill Road Netball Skills for Y2-3 students (managed by parents) with focus on skills sessions followed by games. These take place on Thursdays with games at 4.00pm, 4.50pm & 5.40pm. Contact as above for more information.
Other sports activities provided at Edendale
Gymnastics Club in Term Two is on Fridays at lunchtime (1.10 - 1.45pm) in the school hall; cost $95 for eight sessions. This is open to all students (Y0-6). Contact Sue Hanley at for more information.
Football Kidz NZ Soccer lessons for all students in Terms 2 and 4 with five sessions at $10 per session. Lessons take place at Thursday lunchtimes (1.10 - 1.45pm). Starting date to be confirmed. Contact for more information.
Playball lessons for Years 1-2 students on Tuesdays from 8.20 - 8.45am in the hall and costs $120 per term. Email Adam Brunt at for further information.
